You Will Need

• ¼ cup olive oil
• 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

• In a saucepan, mix packet contents with ½ cup water and olive oil, stirring until completely dissolved. Cook over medium-high health, stirring constantly.
• Once pesto come to a boil, immediately remove from heat.
• Add pesto to freshly prepared pasta, 8 ounces dry. Stir in Parmesan cheese. Makes 4 servings.

Add ½ cup of pine nuts for added taste and texture.

For Basil Pesto Brushetta, lightly butter French Bread slices or English muffin halves. Broil until lightly golden. Top with thinly sliced tomatoes and cheese. Sprinkle with pesto mix. Broil for about 5 more minutes.
